Ranbaxy GDR rises

ADR/GDR Report

 Ranbaxy's GDR rose 2.39 per cent to $23.60 with traded volumes of 41,066 receipts. SBI's GDR climbed 1.63 per cent to $30.50. Bajaj Auto's GDR rallied 1.55 per cent to $19.65.

 But ITC's GDR fell 0.85 per cent to $20. On Thursday, the ISDI firmed up by 0.70 per cent to settle at 858.62. The ISDI price-earning ratio also gained by 0.68 per cent.

 Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Indian securities listed on US markets witnessed a mixed trend. Infy gained 25 cents to $80.60. Wit rose 28 cents to $35.95 and Say rallied 25 cents to $17.02. IBN vaulted 18 cents to $12.18. But RDY tumbled 45 cents to $27.60.

 Meanwhile, US stocks opened lower on Thursday. The Dow Jones industrial average dipped 11.4 points, or 0.12 percent, at 9,791.65.
