Ranbaxy GDR up 2.11%, Bajaj down

The Instanex Skindia DR Index was down 0.38 per cent to 1178.46 in early trades in London at 5.00 PM IST on May 25, 2005. Among ISDI GDR stocks, 4 advanced and 3 lost ground.
 
The major gainer were Ranbaxy, up 2.11 per cent to $24.25 with volumes of 1,400, SBI was up 1.91 per cent to $40 with volumes of 668 and
 
ITC was up 0.88 per cent to $34.55 with volumes of 40,200 GDRs.
 
The losers were Bajaj Auto, down 8.73 per cent to $27.70 with volumes of 300 GDRs, Reliance was down 0.80 per cent to $24.70 with volumes of 54,930 and L&T was down 0.48 per cent to $24.98.
 
The Instanex Skindia DR Index was down 0.04 per cent to 1175.85 on May 24, 2005 and was trading at a P/E of 18.70.
 
Among ADRs, 2 advanced and 1 remained unchanged and 5 lost ground on May 24, 2005.
 
The gainers were VSNL, up 1.78 per cent to $9.72 and Dr Reddy's was up 0.44 per cent to $15.87. The major losers were MTNL, down 2.66 per cent to $6.23, Satyam, down at $23.81 and HDFC Bank, down 1.03 per cent to $42.30.
