The major gainers were Ranbaxy, up 2.73 per cent to $28.25, Reliance, up 0.99 per cent to $24.39, and ITC, up 0.17 per cent to $29. The major losers were Hindalco, down 2.18 per cent to $29.11, Bajaj Auto, down 1.80 per cent to $23.47, and State Bank of India, down 1.77 per cent to $36.10. |
The ISDI, representing the GDRs and ADRs of 15 actively traded companies, dropped further by 1.49 per cent to 1,167.53 on Wednesday from the previous level of 1,185.24. |
The ISDI price to earnings ratio also eased by 0.73 per cent to 20.35 per cent from 20.50 previously. |
Among the ISDI GDRs and ADRs, there were 12 losers and three gainers and among the ISDI ADRs, two ADRs advanced and six ADRs lost ground. |
The major gainers were Wipro, up 2.08 per cent to $24.10, and DR. Reddy's, up 1.26 per cent to $19.25. The major losers were MTNL, down 4.59 per cent to $7.90, ICICI Bank, down 3.97 per cent to $18.61, and Satyam, down 3.58 per cent to $23.40. |
The GDR of ITC also edged up to $28.99 from $28.95 previously. |
