The gainers were Ranbaxy, up 3.09 per cent to $25 with volume of 6,000 GDRs, ITC was up 2.17 per cent to $35.30 with a volume of 5,600 GDRs and Bajaj Auto was up 1.59 per cent to $28.14 with a volume of 20,600 GDRs.

The losers were SBI, down 1.13 per cent to $39.55 with a volume of 3,900 GDRs, Reliance was down 0.40 per cent to $24.60 with a volume of 13,350 GDRs and Hindalco was down 0.19 per cent to $26.75 with a volume of 6,000 GDRs.

The Instanex Skindia DR Index was up 0.16 per cent to 1177.74 on May 25, 2005 and was trading at a P/E of 18.74. Among ISDI ADRs, 3 advanced, 1 remained unchanged and 4 lost ground on May 25, 2005.

The gainers were Infosys, up 1.03 per cent to $68.75 with volume of 6,700 ADRs, Dr Reddy's was up 0.95 per cent to $16.02 and MTNL was up 0.16 per cent to $6.24.

The major losers were HDFC Bank, down 2.79 per cent to $41.12, VSNL was down 1.95 per cent to $9.53 and Satyam was down 1.72 per cent to $23.40.
