Range-bound movement continues

The Sensex continues to move in the same range of 10,975-11,000 levels. The index is now up 44 points at 10,985.

The BSE Capital Goods Index has rallied 1.5% to 8157. The Metal and Oil & Gas indices are up 1% each at 7856 and 4764, respectively.

BHEL has gained 3.7% at Rs 2,185. Cipla and Hero Honda have surged over 2% each to Rs 603 and Rs 930, respectively.

Grasim has moved up 1.6% to Rs 2,003.

HDFC has dropped 1.8% to Rs 1,314.

Tata Motors has slipped 1.4% to Rs 926, and HDFC Bank is down 1% at Rs 757.

The market breadth is negative. Out of 2,531 stocks traded so far, 1,346 have declined, 1,121 have advanced and 64 are unchanged.
