Range-bound moves continue, Sensex up 38pts

The Sensex continues to exhibit range-bound movement and is now up 38 points at 10,790.

BHEL and NTPC have surged nearly 3.5% each to Rs 2,175 and Rs 120, respectively.

Tata Motors has advanced 2% to Rs 748. Bajaj Auto and Ranbaxy have moved up 1.5% each to Rs 2,506 and Rs 377, respectively.

Hindalco, Larsen & Toubro, Dr.Reddy's, ACC and SBI are up over 1% each at Rs 159, Rs 2,278, Rs 1,407, Rs 863 and Rs 819, respectively.

Out of 2,340 stocks traded so far, 1,306 have advanced, 961 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
