Shares of fertiliser companies, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers and National Fertilisers, are trading higher by up to 9% on BSE after reporting a strong set of numbers for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014 (Q2).
National Fertilisers rallied 11% to Rs 39.60 in early morning deals on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after reporting a net profit of Rs 61.75 crore in Q2FY15 against a loss of Rs 25.90 crore in a year ago quarter.
RCF surged 6% to Rs 67.85 on reporting 94% year-on-year (yoy) jump in net profit to Rs 77.53 crore in July-September quarter. The company had profit of Rs 40 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. Net sales grew 21% to Rs 2,205 crore on yoy basis.
The stock touched a high of Rs 69.50 and has seen a combined 845,320 shares changed hands on NSE and BSE.
