Realty index sheds 11% in two days

The Realty index was the major laggard today and tumbled to a low of 3,193. The index finally ended with a loss of 6% at 3,190. 

The index has slumped over 11% from Tuesday's close of 3,599.

Unitech dropped 9% to Rs 76. DLF slipped 3% to Rs 322.

HDIL, Mahindra Lifespace Developers and Peninsula Land shed 9% each to Rs 221, Rs 260 and Rs 64. Indiabulls Real Estate declined 6% to Rs 187.

Akruti City, Orbit Corporation, Parsvnath Developers, Ansal Infrastructure, Anant Raj Industries, Omaxe and Phoenix Mills were down 3-5% each.

The BSE Realty index has fallen for the second straight day. The index opened at 3,377, touched a high of 3,430, but soon slipped into the negative zone. The index has slipped 8% from its high to a low of 3,149 and is now down 6.5% at 3,172.

 

The Realty index had slumped 6% yesterday to end at 3,387.

Realty Major, Unitech has nosedived 9.5% to Rs 76. DLF has plunged 5% to Rs 317.

HDIL has crashed 9% to Rs 222. Indiabulls Real Estate has slumped 8% to Rs 183.

Akruti City, Orbit Corporation, Parsvnath Developers and Mahindra Lifespace Developers have shed 5% each at Rs 504, Rs 173, Rs 85 and Rs 273, respectively.

Anant Raj Industries, Peninsula Land, Ansal Properties & Infrastructure, Phoenix Mills, Omaxe and Sobha Developers have slipped 1-4% each.
