In his first interview after taking over the reins at the commodities exchange, P S Reddy, MD & CEO, MCX, speaks to Rajesh Bhayani on several new initiatives, including interest in products like potato and electricity futures, and activating gold ETFs on derivatives platforms. Edited excerpts:

How do you visualize MCX in commodity space going forward?

We see the exchange emerging as a broader trading platform for all commodities. We have also undertaken a rebranding exercise for MCX which will be completed in FY21 with a new logo for MCX. We foresee great scope for trading of agri-commodities and plan
