Recovery continues, Sensex down 15 pts

The market has recovered from most of its early losses as most of the stocks are trading off-lows, with select heavyweights attracting buying support. The Sensex, as a result, is now down 15 points at 6,589, while the Nifty has recouped from its weakness with a gain of two points at 2,065.

Reliance has curbed losses to Rs 563 - down Rs 2. SBI has dipped 1.28% (Rs 8) to Rs 658, and HDFC Bank is down a tad at Rs 552. ICICI Bank is up Rs 2 at Rs 420.

Wipro is still reeling under selling pressure at Rs 666 - down Rs 15 or 2.15%. Satyam is down a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 419.

Gujarat Ambuja has shed 3% (Rs 13) to Rs 412, while Grasim has lost a per cent (Rs 13) to Rs 1,221.

Tata Motors has dropped 3.64% (Rs 15) to Rs 409. Maruti has declined 2.93% (Rs 12) to Rs 408, and Hero Honda is trading a per cent lower (Rs 4) at Rs 535. Bajaj has notched up 2.10% gains (Rs 22) to Rs 1,086.

While Tata Power has dipped 1.93% (Rs 7) to Rs 351, Tisco is down 1.30% (Rs 5) at Rs 388.

ONGC, however, has gained 2% (Rs 18) to Rs 912, while ITC is up Rs 4 at Rs 1,354.
