Recovery continues... Sensex down 284pts

Recovery continues... and the Sensex is now down 284 points at 15,691.

The NSE Nifty is down 47 points at 4,725.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has slumped over 10% to Rs 2,682. Reliance Energy (REL) has tumbled 8% to Rs 1,169.

BHEL has plunged nearly 6% to Rs 1,908, and Maruti has shed 4.5% at Rs 890.

Satyam and HDFC Bank have dropped 3.3% each to Rs 410 and Rs 1,245, respectively.

HDFC and DLF have slipped 2.5% each to Rs 2,560 and Rs 641, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied 2% to Rs 679. Bharti Airtel has gained 1.7% at Rs 764.

ITC has moved up 1.5% to Rs 194. ONGC, Cipla and ACC are up over 1% each at Rs 967, Rs 202 and Rs 742, respectively.

Out of 2,519 stocks traded so far, 2,229 have declined, 259 have advanced and 31 are unchanged.
