Refined palmolein gains on retail offtake

Refined palmolein gained slightly at the oils and oilseeds market here today due to mild offtake from retailers.  

While, groundnut oil held steady on lack of any worthwhile buying activity. Castorseeds bold and castorseeds commercial firmed up further on rising demand from shippers and soap industries.

Castorseeds futures market also moved up owing to better export enquiries.

In the edible oil segment, refined palmolein inched up to Rs 559 per 10 kg from overnight closing level of Rs 558. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 820 per 10 kgs.

Turning to non-edible segment, castorseed bold went up by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 5,190 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 5,180 and castor oil commercial edged up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 1,068 as against Rs 1,066.

 

Linseed oil were unaltered at Rs 625 per 10 kg. 

Moving to futures section, castorseeds for June delivery resumed lower at Rs 4,920 and traded between Rs 4,980 and Rs 4,900 before settling at Rs 4,950 from Rs 4,945 previously, showing a marginal gain of Rs 5 per tonne.
