Refined palmolein prices slipped in an otherwise sluggish oils and oilseeds market here today due to subdued stockists and retail demand amid adequate supplies.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil held steady in the absence of worthwhile buying activity.
In futures market, castorseeds moved up further on sustained export enquiries. In the edible segment, refined palmolein fell by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 533 from Friday's close of Rs 537.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 960 per 10 kg.
Turning to futures section, castorseeds for September delivery resumed higher at Rs 4,695 and advanced further to close at Rs 4,700 as compared to Rs 4,685 yesterday, showing a modest gain of Rs 15 per tonne.
However, castorseeds bold, castorseeds commercial and linseed oil all finished stable at Rs 4,785, Rs 987 and Rs 720, respectively.
