Refined soya down 0.5% on profit-booking

Oil for delivery in October shed 0.29%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.54% to Rs 677.40 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels, supported by subdued demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November declined by Rs 3.65, or 0.54% to Rs 677.40 per 10 kg with an open interest of 61,420 lots.

Similarly, oil for delivery in October shed Rs 2, or 0.29% to Rs 684.20 per 10 kg in 65,650 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-bookings by speculators at prevailing higher levels, subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
