Refined soya oil prices fell Rs 2.45 to Rs 677.10 per 10 kg in futures trade today, as speculators booked profits amid a weak trend at the spot market due to slow demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for March contract declined by Rs 2.45, or 0.36% to Rs 677.10 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of two lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in February shed Rs 1.20, or 0.18% to Rs 665.85 per 10 kg, with a business volume of single lot.

Market analysts said profit taking by speculators, fall in demand at the spot market helped refined soya oil futures prices to trade lower.
