Refined soya oil prices lost Rs 3.90 to Rs 618.20 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders indulged in profit-booking at higher levels influenced by fall in spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in May fell by Rs 3.90, or 0.63%, to Rs 618.20 per 10 kg, with a trading volume of nine lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April declined by Rs 2.25, or 0.36%, to Rs 615 per 10 kg, with an open interest of four lots.

Traders said the fall in refined soya oil mostly due to profit-taking by speculators at higher levels on fall in demand in the spot market.
