Refined soya oil fell by Rs 3.40 to Rs 655.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders indulged in profit-booking at high levels, influenced by fall in spot market demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for June delivery fell by Rs 3.40, or 0.51% to Rs 655.60 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of one lot.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in July shed Rs 1.35, or 0.20% to Rs 659.20 per 10 kg in seven lots.

The fall in refined soya oil mostly due to profit-taking by speculators at high levels on fall in demand in the spot market, traders said.
