Refined oil prices rose Rs 3.55 to Rs 513.25 per 10 kg in futures trade today, after tracking a firming trend at spot markets, supported by festive and marriage season demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for the October-month contract gained Rs 3.55, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 513.25 per 10 kg, with an open interest of just one lot.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in November contract edged up by Rs 3.35, or 0.65 per cent, to Rs 521.40 per 10 kg, clocking a business volume of single lot.

Marketmen said pick up in demand for the ongoing festive and marriage season in the spot market led to a rise in refined soya oil futures prices.
