Refined soya oil prices moved up by Rs 4.25 to Rs 481.50 per 10 kg in futures trading today on rising spot market demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for September month rose by Rs 4.25 or 0.89 per cent to Rs 481.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 65 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in August month moved up by Rs 3.80 or 0.81 per cent to Rs 475.80 per 10 kg in 334 lots.
Analysts said increase in spot market demand ahead of festival season led to rise in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
