Refined oil prices rose by Rs 18.65 to Rs 658.75 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged their positions in tandem with a firm trend in spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for July delivery rose by Rs 18.65, or 2.91% to Rs 658.75 per 10 kg, with a trading volume of four lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in June gained Rs 3.65, or 0.56% to Rs 650.70 per 10 kg in eight lots.
Analysts said increased buying by speculators on rising spot market demand amid fall in supplies from overseas markets pushed up the refined soya oil futures prices.
