Refined soya oil prices rose by Rs 2.70 to Rs 635 per 10 kg in futures trade today on the back of strong spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March traded higher by Rs 2.70, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 635 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of two lots.

Similarly, the refined soya oil for delivery in April edged up by Rs 2.20, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 644.65 per 10 kg, with an open interest of one lot.

Analysts said rising demand in the spot market, due to the ongoing marriage season, amid firming global trend led to the rise in refined soya oil futures prices.
