Refined soya oil traded higher by Rs 2 to Rs 624.10 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions on the back of seasonal demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March traded higher by Rs 2, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 624.10 per 10 kg, with an open interest of a single lot.

Similarly, the refined soya oil for delivery in April edged up by 40 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 634.20 per 10 kg, with a business volume of just one lot.

Analysts said rising demand in the spot market, due to the ongoing marriage season led to the rise in refined soya oil futures prices.
