Refined soya oil prices weakened by Rs 3.45 to Rs 645.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid a weak trend at the spot market due to lower demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for April contract weakened by Rs 3.45, or 0.53 per cent to Rs 645.60 per 10 kg in two lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in the month of March lost Rs  2.10, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 635.20 per 10 kg in two lots.

Market analysts said profit taking by speculators, subdued demand in the spot market led to the decline in refined soya oil futures prices.
