Refined soya oil improves on spot demand

Refined oil prices improved by Rs 1.60 to Rs 603.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today on pick up in demand at spot markets, supported by the ongoing marriage season.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for January-month gained Rs 1.60, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 603.50 per 10 kg, with a business volume of two lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 1.55, or 0.26 per cent to Rs 588.40 per 10 kg, with an open interest of single lot.

Analysts said firming trend at domestic markets followed by the ongoing marriage season, influenced the refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
