Refined soya oil remain higher on physical demand

Refined oil prices rose further by Rs 2.65 to Rs 486.25 per 10 kg in futures trade today, as traders indulged in enlarging their positions, driven by pick up in demand at spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, refined soya oil for October-month contract rose by Rs 2.65, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 486.25 per 10 kg, with a business volume of 26 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in November contract gained by Rs 2.55, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 493.50 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 24 lots.

Traders said firming trend at spot markets on pick up in demand for the upcoming festive and marriage season demand led to a rise in refined soya oil futures prices.
