Refined soya oil prices rose by Rs 1.25 to Rs 625.15 per 10 kg in futures trade today largely on the back of fall in supplies amid higher demand in spot market.

Firming trend in the overseas markets also supported the rise in prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in July gained Rs 1.25, or 0.20% to Rs 625.15 per 10 kg, with a trade volume of a single lot.

Analysts said increased buying by speculators on rising spot market demand for the ongoing marriage season against fall in supplies from overseas market, mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil futures prices.
