Refined soya oil prices continued to slide for the second consecutive day and lost Rs 3.45 to Rs 636 per 10 kg in futures trade today on slackness in demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for February contract moved down by Rs 3.45, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 636 per 10 kg, with an open interest of a single lot.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in March lost Rs 3.15, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 657 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of one lot.

Market analysts said weak trend at the spot market due to slackness in demand mainly led to the fall in refined soya oil futures prices.
