Refined soya oil prices showed a mixed trend in futures trade today on alternate bouts of trading amid a weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in July rose by Rs 1.80, or 0.27% to Rs 658.50 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 12 lots.

However, the oil for delivery in June lost Rs 2.80, or 0.42% to Rs 656.15 per 10 kg, in 5 lots as speculators extended support on expectations of a better trend in coming days.

Analysts said a weak overseas trend influenced the market sentiment.

Meanwhile, the palm oil in Malaysia, the hub of global oil trading, fell by 0.3%.
