Refined soya oil up 0.3% as demand picks up

Oil for delivery in November edged higher by 0.23%

Supported by a pick-up in domestic demand for the ongoing festive season against tight supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil prices traded higher by Rs 2.45 to Rs 696.20 per 10 kg in futures trade today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December month traded higher by Rs 2.45, or 0.35%, to Rs 696.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 81,280 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in November edged higher by Rs 1.60, or 0.23%, to Rs 705 per 10 kg in 94,670 lots.

Analysts said pick up in demand in the spot market on the back of ongoing festive season against tight supplies from producing regions mainly helped refined soya oil prices to trade higher in futures trade.
