Refined soya oil prices rose 0.43% to Rs 704.35 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions supported by better demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in December gained Rs 3.05, or 0.43%, to Rs 704.35 per 10 kg with an open interest of 82,540 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in November edged up by Rs 2.40, or 0.34%, to Rs 711.95 per 10 kg in 1,02,090 lots.

Analysts said speculators created fresh positions on the back of good demand in the spot market supported by ongoing festive and wedding season demand, which mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures market.
