Reliance closes @Rs715, volume soars

The special one-hour trading session for Reliance Industries saw brisk activity at the counter.

The share price for the demerged entity opened at Rs 703, and then slipped to touch a low of Rs 686. Heavy buying at these levels saw the stock move up to a high of Rs 728.

The stock finally closed at Rs 715, amid massive volume of almost two crore shares, which were significantly higher than yesterday's huge volume.

The combined BSE and NSE volume stood at a whopping six crore shares, with a turnover of around Rs 4300 crore.

Yesterday's on its last trading day as a merged entity Reliance had touched a liftime high of Rs 937.50, before closing at Rs 928, on volumes of around 1.56 crore shares on the BSE.
