Reliance GDR up 3.6%

The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) was up 1.08 per cent to 1,163.68 in the early morning trades on Tuesday. Among the ISDI global depository receipts, four GDRs advanced and three lost ground.
 
The major gainers were Reliance, up 3.64 per cent to $24.50, ITC, up 1.95 per cent to $28.75, and Hindalco, up 1.59 per cent to $28.75. The major losers were L&T down 0.63 per cent to $20.51, Bajaj Auto down 0.43 per cent to $23.40 and State Bank of India down 0.28 per cent to $35.65.
 
The ISDI, representing the GDRs and ADRs of 15 actively traded companies, recovered by 1 per cent to 1,160.39 on December 13 from the previous level of 1,148.86.
 
The ISDI price to earnings ratio also edged up by 0.03 per cent to 20.35 per cent from 20.34, previously.
 
Among the ISDI GDRs and ADRs, there were nine gainers, five losers and one ruled steady and among the ISDI ADRs, six ADRs advanced and two lost ground.
 
The major gainers were Wipro up 3.82 per cent to $24.19, MTNL up 3.04 per cent to $7.45 and VSNL up 1.81 per cent to $9.55. The major losers were Dr Reddy's down 1.12 per cent to $18.55 and Satyam down 0.82 per cent to $24.10.
 
The GDR of Reliance was also quoted higher at $24.45 compared with $23.62, previously.
 
The GDR of L&T was also quoted lower at $20.51 compared with $20.64 previously.
