Reliance GDR up 6.14%

 The major gainers were Reliance, up 6.14 per cent to $23.35, L&T up 4.23 per cent to $17.50 with volumes of 5,639 GDRs, and Ranbaxy, up 1.08 per cent to $23.50 with volumes of 51,818 GDRs.

 The only losers were Bajaj Auto, down 2.67 per cent to $19.71 registering volumes of 56,000 GDRs, followed by State Bank of India, down 0.17 per cent to $29 on volumes of 60,969 GDRs, and ITC, down 0.15 per cent to $19.70 with volumes of 4,800 GDRs.

 The ISDI gained 0.73 per cent to 882.40 on November 27, 2003 and was trading at a price to earnings multiple of 17.22 (up 0.64 per cent).

 Elsewhere in the world - the Asian markets ended in a mixed heap. The Tokyo index, the Nikkei 225 average went down 0.62 per cent to 10,100.57 while the broader Topix fell 0.63 per cent to 999.75. IT stocks were generally in the dumps. In Seoul, the Kospi climbed 1.85 per cent to 796.18.

 In Australia, the S&P/ASX200 gained marginally by 0.02 per cent to 3186.4. In Taiwan, the Taiex also showed an increase of 0.54 per cent to 5771.77. Hong Kong
