Reliance Industries surged 6.16 per cent to Rs 2,051.85 on media reports that the firm has struck gas at eight more locations in the KG basin, which it intends to develop at an approximate cost of $3 billion.
The scrip opened at Rs 1,980 and went on to achieve a high of Rs 2,065 and a low of Rs 1,960 during intra-day trade. About 1,667,912 shares changed hands on the BSE. The stock has dropped 13.13 per cent since last one month. Reliance also manufactures petrochemicals, synthetic fibres, textiles, blended yarn and polyester staple fibre.
