Rice basmati and maize prices rose up to Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale grains market on fresh buying activity, amid restricted arrivals.
Traders said fresh buying by stockists on pick up in demand mainly led to rise in rice basmati and maize prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common variety rose by Rs 100 to Rs 5,600-5,700 per quintal.
Maize also moved up by Rs 20 to Rs 1,150-1,160 per quintal.
