Arabica Plantation grades witnessed selective roasters' demand on quality lots on sale as prices firmed up by Rs 50 (for 50 kg bag) at the Indian Coffee Trade Association (ICTA) auction. |
According to auctioneer Carritt Moran and Company, Robusta Cherry grades continued to attract good enquiry at the last week's levels and all secondary grades on sale sold firm. |
The auction saw the sale of 81 tonnes of the 347 tonnes on sale. Of the quantity offered, Arabica comprised 234 tonnes and Robusta 113 tonnes. |

Arabica varieties: Arabica Plantation MNEB Rs 5,462 (quantity sold kg 7,970 kg), Arabica Plantation A Rs 5,350 (720 kg), Arabica Plantation C Rs 4,500 (3,580 kg), Arabica Cherry PB Rs 4,500 (1,250 kg), Arabica Cherry C Rs 3,625 (813 kg) and Arabica Cherry BBB Rs 3,533 (6,305 kg). |
Robusta varieties: Robusta Parchment BBB Rs 3,633 (11,695 kg), Robusta Cherry PB Rs 3,831 (2,707 kg), Robusta Cherry AA Rs 3,975 (995 kg), Robusta Cherry AB Rs 3,891 (9,003 kg), Robusta Cherry C Rs 3,803 (1,650 kg), Robusta Cherry BBB Rs 3,683 (5,048 kg). |
