Robusta parchments up by Rs 50 at ICTA

Robusta parchments appreciated by Rs 50 at the Indian Coffee Trade Association (ICTA) auction held on Thursday.

According to the auctioneers, Carritt Moran and Company, arabica plantation grades ruled firm to costly at today's auction with select lots attracting good premiums from domestic buyers. The auction saw 444 tonne on offer for sale (last week 457 tonne), 153 tonne were sold. Arabica comprised of 243 tonne, robusta 201 tonne.

Following are the prices quoted for grades in Rs/50kg.

Arabica varieties: Arabica plantation PB Rs 5,249 (quantity sold 8,557 kg), arabica plantation A Rs 5,356 (16,512 kg), arabica plantation B Rs 5,100 (1,538 kg), arabica plantation C Rs 4,589 (14,964 kg), arabica parchment BBB Rs 3,769 (10,943 kg), arabica cherry PB Rs 3,900 (2,500 kg), arabica cherry BBB (Tamil Nadu stored) Rs 4,050 (3,766 kg), arabica cherry C Rs 3,238 (9,890 kg) and arabica cherry BBB Rs 2,875 (9,928 kg).

Robusta varieties: Robusta parchment PB Rs 3,216 (3,114 kg), robusta parchment AA Rs 3,612 (3,459 kg), robusta parchment AB Rs 3,450 (3,807 kg), robusta parchment C Rs 3,013 (6,255 kg), robusta parchment BBB Rs 2,899 (14,082 kg), robusta cherry PB Rs 2,770 (1,750 kg) and robusta cherry BBB Rs 2,600 (2,000 kg).
