Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has fallen to its 52-week low at Rs 155, down by Rs 14 or 8% on the BSE, after the stock was quoted ex-dividend for Rs 12 per share.
The board of directors of REC at its meeting held on February 10, 2016 had declared payment of interim dividend at the rate of Rs 12 per equity share on the face value of Rs 10 each for the financial year 2015-16.
The company fixed February 18, 2016 as the "Record Date" for the purpose of payment of interim dividend. The said interim dividend will be paid/dispatched on February 25, 2016, it added.
At 09:21 AM, the stock was down 7.5% at Rs 156 on the BSE. A combined 398,915 shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE.
