Sagar Cements has rallied 8% to Rs 716 on the BSE intra-day trade after the company reported 23% growth in consolidated total cement sales at 160,888 MT in November. The company had sold 130,541 MT cement in November 2015.
In October, Sagar Cements had recorded 4.71% decline in the cement sales at 108,916 MT, compared to 114,301 MT sold in October 2015.
The cement production for November 2016 stood at 164,767 MT, up by 34% compared to 122,953 MT produced in the same month last year.
For the first eight months (April- November) of current financial year 2016-17, total cement sales stood at 1,404,741 MT, up 20% compared to sales of 1,167,555 MT in the same period last fiscal. The cumulative cement production was up 33% at 1,419,541 MT against 1,065,310 MT in first eight months of last fiscal.
At 01:04 pm; the stock was up 6% at Rs 701 on the BSE, as compared to 0.42% rise in the S&P BSE Sensex. A combined 31,492 shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE.
