Saria prices fell by Rs 300 per tonne in the wholesale steel and iron market today on sustained selling by stockists due to sluggish demand in view of rainy season.

Marketmen said sustained selling by stockists on sluggish demand following ongoing rainy season mainly led to a fall in saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm remained under pressure and lost another Rs 300 each to Rs 40,000, Rs 40,700 and Rs 39,400 per tonne, respectively.

Similarly, the saria 16-25-mm traded lower by the same margin at Rs 37,250 per tone.
