Saria prices rose by Rs 300 per tonne in the wholesale steel market today on stockists buying followed by pick up in demand. Marketmen said fresh stockists buying supported by a pick up in demand pushed up the wholesale saria prices.
In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm enquired higher by Rs 300 each to Rs 39,700, Rs 39,400 and Rs 38,100 per tonne, respectively. Saria 16-25-mm also traded higher by the same margin at Rs 37,950 per tonne.
