Saria strengthens on stockists buying

Saria prices rose by Rs 400 per tonne, extending yesterday's gains in the wholesale steel market today on increased offtake by stockists. M S angle also showed some strength on pick up in buying activity.

Traders said continued buying by stockists followed by an upswing in construction activity, which led to a rise in prices. In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were up by Rs 400 each to Rs 40,300, Rs 40,000 and Rs 38,700 per tonne, respectively.

Similarly, saria 16-25-mm traded higher by the same margin at Rs 38,550 per tonne. In the MS angle section, 50x5 50x6 and 40x5 40x6 traded higher at Rs 32,500 and Rs 33,000, respectively.
