Saria weakens further on reduced offtake

Saria remained weak due to reduced offtake and prices continued to slide for the second straight day by losing Rs 200 per tone on the wholesale steel market today.

Traders said sustained selling by stockists on sluggish demand, in view of monsoon season mainly, led to a fall in saria prices.

In the saria section, Kandhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm lost Rs 200 each to Rs 39,800, Rs 39,500 and Rs 38,100 per tone, respectively.

Similarly, saria 15-25-mm traded lower by the same margin at Rs 38,050 per tonne.
