Among ISDI global depository receipts (GDRs), one advanced and seven lost ground. The only gainer was State Bank of India, up 2.22 per cent to $32.20. The major losers were Reliance down 2.99 per cent to $25.95, Bajaj Auto down 2.05 per cent to $21.95 and Ranbaxy down 1.66 per cent to $23.75. |
The ISDI, which tracks the ADRs and GDRs of 15 actively traded companies, closed up 0.05 per cent to 1,120.11 on the previous day and was trading at a price-to-earning multiple of 19.95 (unchanged at the previous level). Among ISDI ADRs, five ADRs advanced while three ADRs lost ground. |
The major gainers were Dr Reddy's up 2.53 per cent to $17.80, ICICI Bank up 1.80 per cent to $17.51 and Satyam Computer up 1.67 per cent to $26.75. The major losers were HDFC Bank down 0.57 per cent to $40.45 and VSNL down 0.49 per cent to $8.16 and Infosys down 0.28 per cent to $66.69. |
