SBI GDR up 1.55 per cent

The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) was up 0.31 per cent to 867.57 in London in early trades on August 6, 2004, at 5 pm IST. Among ISDI GDR stocks, 4 advanced, 1 remained unchanged and 2 lost ground.

The gainers were SBI, up 1.55 per cent to $23.00, registering a volume of 4,168 GDRs, Hindalco was up 0.86 per cent to $22.35 and Reliance was up 0.22 per cent to $22.55, registering a volume of 1,279 GDRs. The losers were L&T, down 1.10 per cent to $17.32 and Bajaj Auto was down 0.22 per cent to $18.02.

Instanex Skindia DR Index was up 0.53 per cent to 866.66 on August 5, 2004, and was trading at a P/E of 15.90 (up 0.55 per cent).

Among ISDI ADR, 4 advanced and 4 lost ground on August 5, 2004. The major gainers were Wipro, up 4.73 per cent to $15.71, registering a volume of 179,500 ADRs, HDFC Bank was up 1.11 per cent to $26.50, registering a volume of 25,200 ADRs and ICICI Bank was up 0.77 per cent to $13.02, registering a volume of 341,900 ADRs.

The major losers were VSNL, down 1.94 per cent to $7.58, registering a volume of 72,900 ADRs, Dr Reddy's Lab was down 1.14 per cent to $16.45, registering a volume of 189,600 ADRs and Satyam Computer was down 1.01 per cent to $18.61, registering a volume of 109,100 ADRs.
