Sbi Plans To Make Its Branches Financial Supermarkets

The State Bank of India was in the process of transforming itself into a universal bank, and is transforming all its branches into financial supermarkets dispensing all services and products including insurance, according to its chairman A K Purwar.

Towards this end, computerisation of the entire 9,000 branches of the SBI is scheduled to be over by September next year, Purwar said.
