The Supreme Court has reserved its judgment on the appeal by two Sahara group firms against a tribunal order regarding the issuance of optionally full convertible debentures. As the counsels of the Sahara Group and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) continued to spar over the contentious provisions of the company law well after 4 pm, the scheduled closing hours, the bench directed them to make written submissions "in a day or two" and reserved the judgment.
