Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) will hold a two-day international conference on high frequency trading (HFT) and algo trading next week.
The impact of software programme-based trading on financial market stability is a hotly debated topic globally.
The conference will be attended by experts and regulators from foreign countries including US, Spain Japan and Australia.
"...the participants would discuss issues related to impact of HFT on market quality, financial stability, information asymmetry and retail investors, HFT in developing countries, regulatory mechanism and technology as an enabler to re-level the field,” said Sebi in a press release.
