Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) today launched its local office in Lucknow.
To facilitate better reach of investors and intermediaries, SEBI had decided to open offices in major Indian cities.
Lucknow office would come under the administrative control and jurisdiction of SEBI regional office at New Delhi.
Its main function includes facilitating redress of investor grievances against listed companies and market intermediaries, spread investor education and financial literacy, processing the applications for Investment Advisors within its jurisdiction.
SEBI whole time member Rajeev Kumar Agarwal inaugurated the local office in the presence of SEBI executive director S Ravindran.
