 A stock broker may issue contract notes electronically, provided they are authenticated by means of digital signatures in the manner provided by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.

 In case of brokers the underwriter may enter into the agreement in electronic form, authenticated by digital signatures in the manner provided in the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, if the client is agreeable to it.
